Rest In Peace baby Charley

I was blessed yet again by another little life, and amazing family. I was able to spend time with little Charley before her parents had to say good bye for a final time. Again I was moved by the strength, love and support that these families are filled with. And again I am reminded why God gave me the talent of being a photographer, it is with out a doubt to do these sessions. I feel so honored, so valued and my self worth is so validated by these session, and I always get the questions how can you do it, and i quickly turn it around to how can I not. The minutes I am with them and get the chance of meeting them change my life forever, but fails in comparison to how Charley's parents lives have changed. Thank you again for welcoming me into your personal life. I don't know even where to start to tell you how I hurt for you, but I am convinced of two things, one, there is a special place in heaven for babies like Charley, there are arms that can't wait to hold her, rock her and to hold her tight till you see her one day, and the other thing I am so sure of is that her memory isn't just a memory it is a treasure, it will stay alive as long as you keep it alive. Thank you Lord for letting our live's path cross. I am humbled, and honored every chance I get to meet an angel, these little lives are just minutes away from entering in the the gates of Heaven, God bless you and your family little Charlie, what a sweet baby girl you are.

Be Mine!!!

Do you know the saying "The plumber's house is always the last to get water" or "The painter's house is always the last to get painted" well I am here to tell you a new one "The photographer's children act the same way yours do, if not worse!!!" I am convinced that Phinley's main goal in a session is to see how to make me be creative as I can with 1 good picture. So like our Christmas card, his little screaming face went on the front of the card. Mariana sat posed while he threw his fit, and he gave me one smile, three gaunt stares, and the rest on hands and knees screaming, I even scheduled it with my mom and my husband there. Bottom line is, kids have all different personalities, Phin didn't come out saying cheese cause he knew I was a photographer, I have to do what I do for all of my clients, find the humor, the love and the tolerance for screamers and photograph it. One day I am sure he will look back at all these and laugh. Until then, I will!!! Thank you Lord that I have children to photograph, and also, thank you for helping me see the beauty in 1 year old temper tantrums!!

So there it is our Valentines Day wish to you, hold your kids close, take pictures of them, even when they don't look perfect!

Squeeky Clean!I

This was such a fun session, Mindy and her first daughter had been photographed in white and she shared with me that the image now hangs in their bathroom. I thought that was such a neat way to display such a clean fresh look, so I wanted to share that idea with you. Another fun one is to have the little ones looking into the bath tub with their little hiney and on their tip toes!! Just some fun clean ideas to brighten up your home in ever room! Thank you for giving me such good ideas Mindy and I look forward to a fun fun baptismal. The other images are of my new fur cape, let me know if you have any fun ideas for that!! I am always looking for fun new things, suggestions are always welcome, busy day ahead of me, be blessed you all.

Happy 6 months Syd!!!

So I think people get the wrong perception of what it must be like to have a photographer as your mom, as your aunt, or as your cousin, so truth be told here it is!!! My poor little Sydney is really 7 months but we are calling it 6 months so it doesn't look SOO bad, she was scheduled at 6:30 in the morning, cause that is when I could squeeze her in, and he mom gets the pictures I like with no say!!!! How's that for the brutal truth!!! LOL, My poor family, so here is the other funny, I have a camera at every event right down to the first poop Mariana flushed, and not a one gets printed, nope, I get all my prints from mostly my sister who religiously prints and puts into albums. Actually Mariana didn't even know we had went to Disney world cause I hadn't even printed them out. I have them all saved to a hard drive, so they will one day get printed, I am sure for graduation open house!! So there it is, that is what it is like to be in my family! I am so grateful for my families flexibility, knowing that I love to photograph for them, just on my terms! Thank you all for your love, support and your never ending humor and love!! So with that said, happy 6 months to ya Syd!!! And Jamie, way to go having 3 under 3. Can't wait for this summer's session of "1,2,3" this too will be an adventure!!
PS this is my new couch, I love it, any creative thoughts of what would go with it, I am open for suggestions!

great business!

I would like to thank Raena from Balleaena Dance Studio for welcoming me into a day in her life, well part of a day, ok 2 hours. That's all either one of us had time for! Her and I are so much alike, our love for live, love for children, and an absolute passion for what we do!! I had so much fun watching her and her daughter light up as they tied their shoes, as they danced on tip toes, and danced with one another. It opened up my eyes to a little pocket of time that we get to have with our daughters before they think that is way to un-cool. I know now is never a good time, but it is, capture the time before they get bigger, do it yearly on their birthday, have a mother daughter session. Celebrate this mother's day a new way, not with gifts, with time. Hope you enjoy these as much as I did. If you would like more info on her dance studio, here is the info...

If you get the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance! Show your daughters and sons it's ok to be silly and dance with out purpose. If the fathers want to get involved, there is a father daughter dance coming up at the El Raid Shrine Masque, Feb. 20th. My husband and daughter will be there, and ok, so will I, but just peeping in!!! God Bless you all, Love me!

I'm in LOVE

I don't know what I love more of, my floor or my little Lil'. Have I said how much I love what I do lately. Well I love it even more today, cause again, I have now been in Lillian's life one full year, and am getting ready to photograph her up and coming new baby brother or sister!!!! What an amazing milestone that is as a photographer. That somebody would let me love on their kids, and play dress up and just have fun, thank you all. I am super dooper excited about my floor. I really do have to say that yesterday at 8am this idea came into my head, I was so blessed to be able to get it done and now into work with in 2 days, can you believe it. I love it, it might take a while to learn the different lighting on it, but I had a great time with it. God is so good, He saw my vision threw, thank you for all of your help and ideas, and a special thank you to Brian, who fit me in on short notice to build this for me. And Dad, I can't thank you enough for always just taking my ideas and running with me on them. I know they are off the wall sometimes, but hey, look where they get me!! Sometimes into trouble, but most the times I can get amazing images like these. Ok, so thank you all for watching the progress of my wall!!! Call to set up an apt! I will keep you posted on my next whim! I am still working on the book.
